| Armada sign Napoleon Calzado |

Calzado, signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Baltimore Orioles in 1996. He last played with the Pensacola Pelicans of the American Association in 2007 where he appeared in 50 games averaging 33 runs, eight homeruns, and 12 walks with a .324 batting avg. Calzado broke into the minors in 1998 and began to shine in 2003. He hit .311 in 196 at bats for Triple A Ottawa Lynx that year, and then the following year hit .359 for most of the year in Double A. In 2005 he hit .306 in Triple A, and later got called up by the Baltimore Orioles where he appeared in only four games.
"I think Napoleon is a great addition to our roster. He is a player who is a tremendous batter and his veteran experience is going to help out our young guys," said Armada General Manager Tony Soares.
