Mike Marshall
Yuma Scorpions President
Mike took over as team president of the Yuma Scorpions in May of 2007. Since retiring as a player from the major leagues, Mike has served as the VP of Baseball Operations for the Northern League.
Mike has been married to his wife Mary for 21 years. They have 2 kids Mike Jr. 20 who is a sophomore at Stanford University and Marcheta 18, a senior in high school.
Mike and his family recently moved from El Paso, TX to Yuma, Az.
Jimmy Taipalus
Front Office Manager
Jimmy is an online student at the University of Phoenix where he studies Sports Management. Although he now lives in Yuma, he is originally from Michigan and started his college days out at Ferris State University. This is Jimmy's first job in sports management. He will be starting his second season with the scorpions and hopes to continue working in the GBL for years to come.
Jimmy is also an avid sports fan. His favorite team is the Detroit Tigers, and he calls himself a diehard fan. While in Michigan, he coached a Middle School basketball team as well as being an AYSO coach and referee.
